ATV Racing

---ATV racing is something that I've gotten into more recently with the help of Brule Sports. I've actually been riding ATV's longer than I have snowmobiles, but I didn't start racing them until the winter of 2007. Brule Sports sponsors one of the local ATV/motorcycle racing circuits that does motocross in the summer, and ice racing in the winter. They offered to let me use a brand new Can-Am Renegade 800 to race in the 4x4 class, and also 2004 Yamaha YFZ450 that they had taken in on trade for the 450 and Open studded classes. I ended up having a ton of fun with it, and even won a championship in the 4x4 class. There's just something about drifting a big 4x4 ATV around on glare ice that puts a smile on my face. The studded 450's also really impressed me with how much traction you have and how fast you can go on glare ice. I ended up buying that 450 so I could give motocross a try in the summer of 2007. I had fun with it, and even got a few podiums in B class. I'm not sure where I'm going with ATV racing now. I'd like to upgrade to a Can-Am DS450X to race on in the summer, and also on the ice before hillcross starts, but medical school keeps changing my plans.
